Hi guys, I came here to ask for a advice. I saw you makeing those nice lights for your aquariums, I found lots of info how to make one. But I'm stuck now with the right quantity and ratio of the leds. I'm thinking about fitting 52 3w leds on 120x16 alluminum profile (same you all guys are using). I'm planing to use those P4115H drivers, TC420 controller and 24v 200w power supply. My tank is fully planted, but only with green plants (as for fish x60 Ember Tetra and 30x Galaxy Rasbora). I want to add more green led than usually, to make my eleocharis and other green plants pop more. For now, led ratio is: Red - 11 Blue - 4 Green - 10 10k - 6 6,5k - 11 4,5k - 10 So the question is about quantity ar ratio of led. Is it all ok? Maybe to much reds? Thanks in advance.

Hi mate! Please check this website: https://az-led.pl/kalkulator-zbiornik/?cookie=yesAs soon, as you enter dimensions of your aquarium H/W/L, glass thickness, water level (below upper aquarium edge, soil/gravel level, press "dalej" (forward) and you will be moved to the next section. Here you may choose the light mixing method (my recommendation is 4, but if you wand some green LEDs, then method 3 is applicable). Then you press "ustawienia" (settings). In this section you may change light color temperature as well as light intensity. This will result in changes in the middle section of this screen. Next step is to press "podsumowanie" (summary) and you will be moved to the next screen. On this screen you will choose the type of LEDs you want use (power, manufacturer, light output). In the middle section you will see a table with all required LEDs and quantities, while in the bottom section you will see recommended LEDs placement on the heatsink and separations. Bear in mind that you need a good heatsink, possibly with additional cooling (fans).

Nice! Damn, you are really advanced in this stuff with pages like that I will check the info, thanks. And How do u think, how many 3w leds i fan fit in 120x16cm profile without additional cooling? I really don't want to add adittional fans or heatsink (well, lets say fans are ok, but heatsink will look ugly i guess )

Ok, so according to that calculator I should use 34led. This is how it would look like. Don't laugh at my painting skills

I checked those full spectrum lights and there are almost no red in it, so I added some reds, and greens.

Marmeladinis napisał(a):Thank you! One more question about controller. I saw one page called "StylAqua Leds" using this one channel led controller. Do I connect this controller same as tc420? Maybe someone has diagram?
Don't know this model. Anyway TC420 or Arduino based controller are very common in use. The point is, once choosing a controller, do check this is programable and multi-channel.

Hi, I'm loosing my hope, really 📷:D Can't find the problem. My leds are totaly cold and in low brightness. I add wiring diagram. Maybe i did something wrong? Amps after driver are ~700mA, and after first led only 350mA. Amps from pover supply ~920mA. Leds take about 2.8v, reds 2v. Any thought? I think it's 100% driver problem, but what can be wrong with it? I add a few photos of the drivers

If P4115H is not dimmed, will led shine brightest?

Have you checked current (A) on all circuits?

Measure voltage after driver and then after each LED in row.

C'mon, don't mess up... Firt is to measure CURRENT, not VOLTAGE....
