Mini-series showing planted and marine aquariums displayed at the booth of the JUWEL company during InterZoo 2014 fair. In this episode I show two JUWEL Rio aquariums, Rio 400 and Rio 300.

00:18 - Rio 400 aquarium, dimensions 151x51x66 cm (with cover, last one is height), volume 450 liters. Aquariums is stocked with some African cichlids - I think they are from the Malawi lake, but I'm not 100% sure about it. If anyone knows the species, let me know in the Comments As for the layout, it is quite interesting, with fragment of driftwood making an "optical axis" along the tank. Plants used are various species and varietes of Anubias. I like the background - it's a photo of the water surface, photographed from below, and (surprisingly ) instead of looking a little bit like kitsch, it adds visual depth to the whole composition Nice tank!

01:30 - Rio 300 aquarium, dimensions 121x51x66 cm (with cover, last one is height), volume 350 liters. Very nice planted layout. Carpet plants are Eleocharis accicularis, Hemianthus callitrichoides "Cuba" and Hemianthus micranthemoides. Stemmed plant on the right side is Rotala sp. (01:38), but I don't know what is the other plant, on the left side (02:22) - if you know, you know what to do Aquarium is stocked with three species of fishes, Colisa lalia, Oryzias woworae and some sort of Apistogramma. There is also one small individual which apparently got lost during arranging the tanks - it's an African cichlid, which should be present in the first tank (or at least I think so ).

00:23 - two Trigon 350 aquariums put next to each other, to form a semicircle. Very attractive setup, viewable from all sides and having great visual depth. Plants used in both aquariums are: Hemianthus callitrichoides, Hemianthus micranthemoides, Staurogyne repens and Ammania sp. "Bonsai". Great composition, and also congratulations to Juwel for pregrowing their tanks!

00:15 - wonderful, large tank Vision 450. The front glass is panoramic, so it gives a little bit magnification. However, the best thing is the layput itself - great composition of driftwood and stones. Thumbs up for pregrown tanks - another great example at JUWEL's of how a mature planted tank should look like. Please note that the majority of plants is located on the substrate. The only plants which are higher are the stemmed plants between the driftwood. They are not numerous, yet the aquarium looks as if it was full of plants. Great effect, and really great aquascape! Plants used in this layout: Glossostigma elatinoides, Pogostemon helferi, Eleocharis parvula, Anubias nana, Hygrophila pinnatifida, Echinodorus tenellus (group on the right side - probably ), Ludwigia repens (the red stemmed plant), and some sort of aquatic moss.

02:12 - marine aquarium set up in JUWEL RIO 300 aquarium. It is equipped with new JUWEL protein skimmer SeaSkim. Aquarium is stocked with following fish: Pseudanthias squamipinnis, Zebrasoma flavescens, Paracanthurus hepatus, Centropyge bispinosus and (probably:) ) Halichoeres chrysus (the elongated yellow fish).

03:42 - another marine tank, set up in JUWEL LIDO 200 aquarium, also with new skimmer SeaSkim. The most important part of the layout it large whitish anemone on the right side - I don;t know what species it is, though Fishes are: Amphiprion ocellaris, Centropyge bicolor, Halichoeres chrysus (I think ) and Cirrhilabrus laboutei (again - I think ).
