THE MYSTERIOUS GIANTS OF EASTER ISLAND

THE MYSTERIOUS GIANTS OF EASTER ISLAND
Among the numerous mysteries of the planet Earth that have not yet been answered, the stone idols of Easter Island and tablets with secret writings occupy a worthy place.

This small volcanic island in the eastern Pacific Ocean used to be called Rapa Nui. Its name translates as Big Rock. Now the island has a population of approximately 2,000 people, the island was renamed in 1722 by Dutch sailors who reached its shores. The fact that the idols were carved in quarries no longer requires proof, but there is still no answer to the question of how these five, seven, ten-meter figures, weighing more than one ton, were transported several tens of kilometers to the ocean shore without any mechanisms.

The material from which they are made resembles pumice stone in its structure. Five-ton hats made of red stone were carved on the heads of all the statues. The pedestals on which these giants are mounted cannot go unnoticed either. Their height reaches 150 meters.

Archaeologists have found out that the statues were made in 1200 - 1500 years. In total, more than a thousand of them were discovered: about 200 figures stood on the ocean shore, 700 were found on the way from the quarries to the shore, another 200 stood unfinished in the quarries. Why did you need so many of them and why did their production suddenly stop? What happened to the 20,000 people? How could they feed themselves on a small rocky island of 165 square kilometers?

It is well known that their main activities were agriculture and fishing. Perhaps they hollowed out boats from giant palm trees that grew on the island in the III-V centuries AD. Maybe these giants somehow helped in dragging the statues for tens of kilometers. Over time, palm trees and forests disappeared, the population also began to decline, and the history of the great civilization was forgotten.

In the notes of the sailors who visited the island, it is mentioned that the locals often arranged ritual ceremonies in front of the idols, danced, sometimes their condition resembled a trance. Perhaps the stone heads were statues of deceased forefathers.
Now the locals, who call themselves Rapanui, also live by farming, cattle breeding and fishing. Another source of income for them is the manufacture of souvenirs that travel agencies order for them.
Visit the island, and a replica of the mysterious idol will settle in your house. https://mostbets.pl/
